Can I be awarded temporal spousal support during the pendency of a divorce proceeding?

You cannot unilaterally waive or forgive the arrears in child support your former spouse owes.

If your spouse is not paying child support, you may go to court to enforce the child support order by attaching your former spouse’s bank account or requesting the court to sell off an asset of your former spouse in order to pay the arrears. On the other hand, you may choose not to do anything about the arrear payments.
